An Economic Forum for Affordable Housing in Pomona

Presented by The Pomona Leadership Network in Partnership with Pomona Community Foundation and the City of Pomona

In the midst of a global pandemic, the City of Pomona has remained resilient . But we also saw concerns that have burdened our community for many years. One such concern is the shortage of affordable housing accessible to the Pomona residents who need it most.

A New Way Home

The Pomona Leadership Network hosted a virtual economic forum on Friday, October 1, 2021, and Saturday, October 2, 2021. Members of the Pomona community were invited to participate in a community conversation about what it means to have access to affordable housing. The forum included presentations by the City of Pomona's Department of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Development Services.

Kick-off of A New Way Home

The virtual event featured a welcome by Mayor Tim Sandoval, as well as a roundtable discussion moderated by Pomona City Councilmember Nora Garcia that elevated stories about what housing means to the Pomona community.
